Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism is the unethical act of copying someone else’s prior ideas, processes, results or words without explicit acknowledgement of the original author and source. Self-plagiarism occurs when an author utilizes large part of his/her own previously published work without using appropriate references. This can range from getting the same manuscript published in multiple journals to modifying a previously published manuscript with some new data. The journal is strictly against any unethical act of copying or plagiarism in any form.

All articles sent to JESEH journal will be evaluated after the Turnitin Plagiarism Detection Program. The similarity rate for Turnitin is 20%. However, in quantitative studies with high statistical density, up to 30% similarity rates can be accepted. Standard templates used in statistics can hold high rates in similarity reports. Whether there is plagiarism in a paper is determined by the editor according to the plagiarism report. Articles with a plagarism rate exceeding 30% are rejected by the editor at the initial stage. Authors must also send the plagarism report to the editor when they upload their articles.
